I am a member of St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Church in Broadview Heights, Ohio and Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Northeast Ohio. To say that Ron Paul is the greatest living American statesman is actually inadequate as praise.
If civilization survives and liberty is restored, I believe that honest history will record that Ron Paul was a statesman fit to rank with the greatest of the Founding Fathers. Those of us who have participated in the battle to restore life, liberty, justice and peace for many years recall that we have been told that such and such election was crucial to our survival. At the times, these claims seemed plausible and may actually have been, to some extent. However, I believe that the 2008 election might be the last chance we have to save our country and restore liberty.
Restore the Republic. Ron Paul for President.

As a Ron Paul supporter, I think one reason evangelical Christians question him is that they fear he is not "pro-Israel." Actually, Ron Paul's position of non-intervention would have freed Israel from many past constraints from U.S. pressures that have hindered Israel's defense. Here is one Israeli's view of Ron Paul:

Regarding the Iraqi war, probably the other main stumbling block for evangelical support of Ron Paul, here is an excellent video on his view of the Christian Just War theory:
http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/016283.html
Ron Paul has opposed the War in Iraq for almost 10 years--before 9-11-2001. Many forget that regime change in Iraq was policy instituted during the Clinton years. Ron Paul opposed it initially then. It was policy in the Bush administration from the very start--before 9-11.
Ron Paul sponsored a resolution to declare war on Iraq, which he voted against, because he believed if we are to go to war Congress must declare it. Representatives did not want to vote it up or down, but passed the buck for President Bush to decide, shirking their Constitutional duty. Ron Paul sees it as unconstitutional to go to war to enforce a U.N. resolution.
Dr. Paul notes also that 15 or the 19 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, not Iraq. The WMD's were never found, if they were there. Basically, there was no
Constitutional justification for the Iraq War. Terrorism has grown, and recruitment for terrorists is ripe because of our pre-emptive attack on a country that did not participate in 9-11.
We are borrowing $2-3 BILLION per day from China and Japan to finance this war. Does giving China a financial stranglehold over our economic welfare make our country more secure?
I believe the war in Iraq makes us less secure because it stirs up the anti-U.S. passions that will motivate terrorists to come over here.
I believe Ron Paul is correct. We made an unconstitutional and unjust decision to invade Iraq. The honorable thing is to admit our mistake and undo it--not perpetuate and compound it.
As a doctor, Ron Paul says if he should make an incorrect diagnosis in medicine and administers a harmful treatment, it is his responsibility to stop it and correct it--not continue to do more of the same in hopes it will eventually bring positive results.

I am an Orthodox Christian and a biblical studies enthusiast.
Ron Paul is the only candidate who will enforce our individual liberties and
encourage us to look to our communities for the answers to our problems.
Liberty will allow us the freedom to look to our Lord to assist us and give us strength to engage the world around us with love and compassion - but as Christians we will need to start living up to our own obligations and not expect a holy government to do it for us.
He is the only candidate who advocates our responsibility as human beings to be just stewards of the world that has been entrusted to us.
His challenges are the litmus test of where our nation's future lies - we'll either respond to his challenges responsibly and accept the life-giving power that is essential to our created purpose and obligation, or we will continue to believe that it everyone else is responsible - not us - and we will die by the hand of our own negligence.

The Lord God has given us free will. How can we exercise
our free will if we are not free. The first 10 amendments of the
U.S. constitution define our rights, but if we read the Declaration
of Independence we see that out rights come from our Creator. What
is happening now in the U.S. is against God and His people. God
Bless and Peace be with you <><

We are endorsing Ron Paul, not only because he is
a Christian, but because he believes in liberty for all people and
no interference into the lives of Christians from the Federal Government.
We now see the mistake that many Christians make thinking the president
is going to create a "Christian Utopia." This also is unbiblical
as we live in the fallen world. We see that compromised Christians
will sacrifice their liberties for empty promises made by evil and
self-serving men. I would say that these Christians need to wake
up, repent to Jesus Christ, and support Ron Paul for president.
His record is not one of hypocrisy, but one of lifelong service
to his fellow human beings! He walks the Christian walk.

As a Christian, I can do nothing more than to actively
support Ron Paul because of the strong Christian values he believes
in. As Christians, we must stand up and tell others what we believe..both
in our faith and politically. Most of all trust the Lord that He
is in charge and as Christians we should be an example and prayer
for Ron Paul, family, and staff.

Ron Paul is the only REAL candidate out there. All
of the others differ very slightly on one issue or another. Our
nation is in trouble! You can see it best in our schools (I am a
public school teacher) and the only way to reform is to REFORM!!
With few exceptions you cannot tell the difference between a republican
and a democrat. Ron Paul is honest about the condition of the country.
I especially like the fact that he is not afraid to take on the
(privately owned)Federal Reserve. God Bless Ron Paul!!!

Like the many Christians here commenting on this site
and supporting Ron Paul for president, I am very concerned about
the turn our nation has taken. My youngest son has just returned
from Iraq and I am thankful to God for protecting him. My nephew
is getting ready to go for the first time. Please pray for him;
his name is Daniel.
Ron Paul is DEFINITELY the man for the White House in 2008. I'm
tired of voting for the lesser of two evils and this time it will
be different. Most states allow for write-in candidates. If you
are not a republican, register to vote republican and vote for Ron
Paul. No, he's not perfect, but he's the best man for the job. Bar
none!

As a Christian fundamentalist I fully support Dr Ron
Paul's bid for the presidency. I am appalled that Dr Bob Jones III
of Bob Jones University has endorsed Mitt Romney for president (BJU
is my alma mater).

There is only one thing about the election that concerns
me. If we are to win, there must first be Revival. Our Nation did
not become free by accident, but it was our faith that was the foundation
of such liberty.
Even de Tocqueville acknowledged that our religion allowed for our
freedoms in "Democracy in America." We must remember that the Lord
is a Judge of Nations, and a Righteous Judge as well! He will give
us over to judgment if there is not honest repentance. We must also
repent of our foreign policy.
September 11th was a result of misguided foreign policy. The Islamism's
despised our actions in their home lands, such as the sanctions
and bombings of Iraq under Clinton, and they attacked us in response.
Dr. Paul acknowledged such in a Republican debate, to which Mr.
Giuliani responded that Ron was absurd. We would all do well to
remember the debate in which lightning interfered with Mr. Giuliani's
microphone. I do not believe that was any accident.
If we continue in sin, and compound the matter by electing an unrighteous
leader, we may expect to face judgment as a Nation. But if we repent,
and elect a leader whos God is the Lord, we can expect the healing
of our land.
T. William
Ron Paul is the only candidate who is committed by
both word and deed, to healing this land, as in 2Chronicles 7:14.
My prayer is that Christians might become more 'wise as serpants',
as the bible instructs and become more activated in the world in
which we live. Stop blaming the devil for everything. Waiting for
a 'rapture' is a convienient scapegoat for caring little to nothing
about future generations, which was unthinkable to our founding
fathers.

Ron Paul recognizes the only true threat there is to religious liberty in
America today: the government. And Dr. Paul has the only solution to the problem:
bound the government to its constitutional functions. Dr. Paul doesn't try to score
political points by waffling his positions like the other candidates, and is the
only one who has remained consistent throughout his career in public office. He will
be a best friend for homeschoolers, taxpayers, and all Christians alike.
His principled stand on the Iraq War, a war he has been speaking against since 1998
when the Clinton Administration adopted an official policy of 'regime change', is
based solely on principle and biblical beliefs, not to score political points or to
pander to a growing constituency. It is his concern for life, both in the womb and
out of it, that sets him apart from all the other candidates and self-proclaimed
'Christians'.

I agree with every issue that Ron Paul expresses. The most important of
course is his love and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Ron Paul will not be covered
by the make-up provided by the mainstream media, so Christians must look to the Holy
Spirit within to judge him. Remember the Lord said that "The Servant is not above
his master, if they persecuted me they will persecute you also". As in the days our
Lord walked this earth, most of the persecution came from Religious "Leaders" and
not those outside the covenants of God. The Cross of Christ was offensive Two
Thousand years ago and it is just as offensive today. We as Christians need to pray
for Ron Paul for we know the forces that oppose him and will oppose him in the days
to come.

I am a Catholic that is very pro-life. Ron Paul will be a uniter and not
divider in the truest sense of the phrase. Dr. Paul has my vote!

Brethren, GOD our father has raised up a man to give us who is
not corrupt to a government that has forgotten us.We are in a battle
for this man. It is apparent that RON PAUL is not being accepted
not for his stand on issues but moreover he is shining light onto
darkness and the darkness is working against him. I have never seen
a candidate in 38 years of life shake up the establishment so much
that they fear to let him on polls, equal time in debates, and smeared
by the main stream media. Dont ever think that GOD cant raise this
man up as our leader. We as christians must rememeber what out father
said "that if we as his people would turn from our sins and call
upon him he would heal our land". I believe GOD will keep his word
but where is GODS people and the love they have for him.I will say
this and im done. If the christian right cant support this man after
the years of prayer that has went up for a good man and then GOD
delivers him to us then i say the christian right are spiritualy
blind and fallen into hypocrisy.
